Colin W Davis is a painter living and working in North Bay, Ontario. Working primarily in oil, Davis uses realist painting to examine masculinity, rurality, and fantasy.
Davis holds a BAA in Illustration from Sheridan College and has exhibited widely across Ontario, including solo exhibitions at the WKP Kennedy Gallery (North Bay) and the Thunder Bay Art Gallery. He was named a finalist in the Kingston Prize, Canada's preeminent portrait competition. His work has received support from the Ontario Arts Council.
Davis' upcoming solo exhibition at Good Atlas Gallery, titled 'Blunt Instruments', will be presented later in 2026.
Davis owns and operates Good Atlas and Good Atlas Gallery in North Bay - an art supply, stationery, and gallery space run with his partner Stephanie. He has taught painting at Nipissing University since 2023.
